We won: Democrat Allison Riggs Sworn in to NC Supreme Court

Justice Allison Riggs was sworn in May 13th by NC Supreme Court Justice Anita Earls for an eight-year term on the North Carolina Supreme Court. This ended a six-month legal battle over the ballots of 65,000 voters challenged by her opponent, Republican Jefferson Griffin, who finally conceded the race on May 7 after Trump-appointed Federal judge, Richard E. Myers II, declared Griffin's challenge as unconstitutional.

After being sworn in, Justice Riggs gave remarks on the importance of defending the right to vote:

“The reason I was able to stand resolute, not discouraged and not intimidated, is because I knew that I stood arm-in-arm with you protecting that precious and fundamental right to vote.”

Now let us work to hold the seat for Anita Earls, who will face tens of millions of dollars pouring in from billionaires in 2026 in order to oust her from the NC Supreme Court.

Also donate to Justice Anita Earls. Her seat will be in play next year, and we can expect a Wisconsin-like race where big money will pour in by the millions.
