Hi, Anne! Thanks for wanting to join so many in Wake County who want this country to remain sane and democratic! Go to Indivisible.org for a lot of suggestions of how to help win back our sanity! Watch the webinar on Thursday afternoons at 3-4 - it’s a practical Q&A session, answering questions applauding suggestions from people all over the country. There were 4000 people on the phone this past Thursday. Indivisible is a national organization with thousands of small groups all over the country - two Dem former Congressional staffers ( married couple in their 40s) who are strong believers that you can make phone calls or send emails on your own time! Their Thursday phone calls are from people like you and me hoping to make a difference. It’s free, and you can register at their website! Also go to wakedems.org to make sure you are a part of the county organization through your precinct. Good luck and Godspeed!

Anne, I hope you have had some good responses. I live in Cary, and my husband and I are a part of Indivisible, an action-oriented national group with β€˜satellite’ groups here in NC. You can easily make a difference from your home through their suggestions. I urge you to check out their webpage, Indivisible.org. Also register (it’s so easy) for their webinar on Thursday afternoons at 3 pm. It’s an hour-long mostly Q&A program delivered by two extremely knowledgeable β€˜young’ (4os?) former staffers with Dem congressmen. They are SO smart and personable - you’ll feel so much better and energized after watching the show. Also check out Common Cause - and go to Wake Co Dem Party website - wakedems.org - to find out what the party suggests. There are so many phone banks to reach all sorts of voters, and emails to write to thank our GOOD congress members - are you represented by Deborah Ross? She’s so helpful - or to berate and fuss at our deplorable senators. There’s so much you can do - also if you’re not active in your precinct, that’s another way to meet neat people and stay in touch. That info is in wakedems.org. Thanks for your offer to help!!! We need you!! Don’t forget - Indivisible.org!!
