Hi, all! I just read an interesting piece in Blue Tent, (an excellent publication focussed on helping progressive laypeople make smart political donations), about Cheri Beasley’s Senate race in North Carolina. The TLDR? Almost all of our US Senate candidates are swimming in money—whether they win or lose will come down to other factors, not lack of funds. Beasley, however, is an exception. Because she’s still technically in a primary, and because she has lower name recognition, she has less socked away than she should at this point in her campaign. So Blue Tent, who otherwise recommends not giving to Senate campaigns,
I'm writing a ton of postcards to folks encouraging them to vote for her. And I just donated!!
