Jessica, Thanks for doing this. Jeff is my current House Rep and will make a great AG. I 💙 Jeff Jackson!! And Anderson Clayton is a ball of energy and always gets me fired up!🔥🔥🔥

We really need to GOTV in my home county of Mecklenburg. It's the key to flipping NC for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. And we absolutely need to defeat the MAGA weirdos in the statewide Council of State races starting from the top with Mark Robinson. Plus we have some important state legislature races in Meck County that could break the veto-proof GOP majority in both house and senate.

I donated & registered to attend Zoom Monday evening!! My husband & I are new to Charlotte as of 1st of this yr, but it feels a lot to me like Denver & CO in 2020…very purple!

My 2 cents of feedback…your team definitely needs more paid staffers so I’m glad to see this fundraiser!! I tried to engage here locally, got bombarded w/ emails about phone banking & such but no one showed up in the Volunteer Intro Zoom calls etc. I gave up bc I couldn’t connect w/ any live person to even know where or how to begin to support the grass roots, feet on the street, fingers dialing phones efforts.

One other point of feedback…with newly infused energy & interest due to the shift at the top of the Dem ticket…and the direct path thru CLT MC to flip NC blue…it would be really invigorating to have a face-to-face meetup for those of us in Charlotte trying to do our part in this fight to reclaim Democracy. Zoom has its place - but remote everything sucks when that’s 80% of work life these days! 😟 I think part of the Harris-Walz energy is the feeling of honest connection between real people & having empathy for each other.

Hi Keke, I just sent you a DM. I'm in Charlotte too and would be happy to help you make some local connections with Dems. We do have regular face to face activities - usually about once a month per area (based on your precinct number) It's usually a social event sometimes with candidates attending and sometimes not.

A few weeks ago my local group met on a Friday evening at a local brewery and we were asked to bring some back-to-school supplies (we have previously done a food drive at the same location).Either next month or October, we'll have the 2nd annual chili cook off (held at someone's house).

In the meantime, here is a Mobilize search that will pull up official Mecklenburg Dems grassroots activities: https://www.mobilize.us/?org_ids=1545

And here's a search for activities with Swing Blue Alliance - they are out of MA but they are concentrating on out-of-state activities and Mecklenburhg county is a big focus:

Hope this helps!

I guess after the Cotham debacle, I would like to have some assurance they are actually vetting candidates. We don't need a repeat
