Chop Wood, Carry NC 1/25

Hi again, Team NC.

Sorry for the double email! I just have two quick things to share with you all.

First, in yesterday’s Chop Wood, Carry NC I called the state Supreme Court’s ruling on Griffin’s case a win, and have since been informed that that’s probably not the right way to characterize it. While the decision to send the case to a lower court is somewhat of a setback for the GOP, and I still think you all deserve recognition for the pressure we’ve been applying, the justices’ opinions were not so great. This is more of a slight inconvenience for the GOP than it is a real win for us. In short, we’re going to have to keep pushing. You can read the ruling here, and I apologize for the confusion on my end.

Second, the NC Dems and VA Dems are partnering to host a peaceful demonstration on Monday in support of Justice Allison Riggs. This is a great way to show public opposition toward Jefferson Griffins and the Republicans for their ongoing attempt to steal the election. If you’re able to make it, you really should. Oral arguments will begin at 3:30pm, so be there by 3:00– here’s the link to sign up.
