Hey, everyone!
Happy 4th. I know it’s a trash sandwich out there right now, but Marilyn, my indefatigable NC partner, is still hard at work, because she knows, as do I, that NO MATTER WHO THE CANDIDATE IS in November we still have to win.
Because it’s a bit hot to canvass right now she’s created a file of NC phonebanking opportunities arranged as a calendar, so you can just pick your date and see the choices. There are options almost every day of the week.
She’ll keep updating this list, so you can just bookmark it and come back to it when you like.
Click here to view it.
Of course the full list of all volunteer opportunities lives at: Â https://tinyurl.com/VotingRightsActions
Please. Join her. Join me. Join us.
Because let’s face it: patriotism isn’t fireworks. It’s not a barbecue. It’s not a flag.
It’s actions taken to save your country when it’s under attack. And it is.
Thanks, all!
Jess
Hi Jess, hope you are feeling better. Rest is the BEST way to heal from Covid. In my experience.
Durham, NC here to say I’ve written 1,000 (and change) postcards since January. Thinking back, 100 with EVP for NC, 200 with Center for Common Ground (Team Unity/ROV for Durham County, NC), 200 with Postcards to Swing States (NC), and am cracking into my first 100 with Durham Dems (thank you Ilene Freedman). This is the first election cycle I’ve had opportunities to write so frequently to my home state and, while it always feels good to help wherever it’s needed (every where), I am so grateful that folks are making it happen in NC. You asked us to say what we’re doing, so here it is. Not to toot my own horn but to let others know they have an ally in Durham.
For the record, a friend, who is unable to write postcards, has gifted me with 170 stamps so far and has made continuing to support my postcard habit her participation in this fight for our democracy.
And we are pulling so heartfully for Joe Biden and for Dems to get their act together.
Rest, dear one. And again I say, rest. 💙🥰💙
