Chop Wood, Carry North Carolina 5/1

All in For NC is having a fundraiser on May 23rd and the keynote speaker is Rep. Jamie Raskin! I’ll be speaking briefly, too. Please can y’all come? NC has an all-new leadership team for their state party—I’m feeling good about our chances there statewide next year.

Due to your support, we have built the credibility and connections to host our biggest fundraiser ever on May 23rd from 7:30-8:30 pm ET to help triple North Carolina’s home-grown field infrastructure ahead of the 2024 elections. This election will determine if North Carolina:

• elects Democratic Attorney General Josh Stein to the Governor’s mansion; 

• breaks the current Republican supermajority in the legislature; and, 

• keeps Biden in the White House. 

We want to highlight another crucial aspect of the 2024 elections for national donors.

A win in 2024 will mean the likely defeat of Senator Thom Tillis in 2026. Current Governor Roy Cooper is the top recruit to challenge Senator Tillis. The results in 2024 will influence if he and the large national groups decide they can flip this seat in 2026. If we rock the vote in 2024, getting North Carolina the resources to win to oust Tillis in 2026 is much more likely.

We need to win Senate races in North Carolina - the most winnable state with a Republican incumbent senator - to get to a durable Democratic majority to fix the courts and pass meaningful legislation.
