Hi, all!
Welcome to the list for all you new folks!
I have ANOTHER postcarding opportunity for North Carolina adopters!
The Center For Common Ground now has postcards for three state primaries—including North Carolina’s— in which suppression of Black and Brown voters will play a big part. These messages aim to remind such voters about the election and give them the information they need to vote.
North Carolina’s primary is on May 17; Early Voting runs April 28 - May 14. Thus the cards would need to be mailed between 4/15 and 4/25.
To write for these campaigns you’ll need to order the cards CFCG wants you to use, but it’s easy to do.
Go here for everything you need to get started.
One more thing: Daily Kos has a new podcast, “The Downballot,” that explores key elections that don’t always get much attention. This recent episode covers recent news in North Carolina and features a guest appearance by Run for Something’s Amanda Litman. She is INCREDIBLE — if you can listen you should.
Then, be sure to check out Run for Something’s latest slate of endorsements — there are ten candidates who are running in North Carolina! Please make a donation or sign up to volunteer for one—-let’s help them win!
Thanks, all! More soon!
Jess
P.S. As always, these opportunities and MANY MORE are on the North Carolina Master Doc. Remember to check it out!
The Center for Common Ground is great! and they are also doing phone banking in NC. The link to sign up is at: https://www.centerforcommonground.org/phonebanks#events.
