I’ve got two great events to flag for you—one this Sunday and one a bit further into September. Hope you can make one or both. They should be reallt informative and inspiring.

1. First, on Sunday, September 10, from 4-5:30 PM please join the Durham County Democrats and the Durham Indivisible Group 'We Stand Up!' for a zoom event to raise money to hire Democratic organizers across North Carolina

   Their speakers are:  

   Nancy MacLean, author of "Democracy In Chains”

   Tony McMullin, founder and director of Postcards to Voters

   Elijah King, 3rd vice chair of the North Carolina Democratic Party

   Beverly Gray, MD, a Durham OBGYN who filed a federal lawsuit challenging NC’s new abortion bans.

2. On Monday September 18th, 4-5 ET please join me and a great coalition of groups for an overview of the statewide races in NC in 2024. Tom Hallock, co-chair of Force Multiplier, will lead a conversation with:

   Roohi Rustum, a Regional Director for States at the DNC working in Southern states

   Sen. Jay Chaudhuri of Wake County, Senate Democratic Whip and the first Indian-American NC state legislator.
