I got a super inspiring email from All in For NC and I wanted to share a couple of things from it—it contains a few great volunteer opportunities, some very moving testaments from NC organizers, and an NC-related fundraiser with Heather Cox Richardson. AINC’s Mecklenburg County Phone Banks
On a recent Sunday we called voters to invite them to Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern in Charlotte. We received this thank you from Suzanne Wittebort, Area Coordinator for Southpark Metro Dems, with a picture from the event.
Our event was a big success! We had more than 50 people, and several people told me that they had only heard about it because they had gotten a phone call! For several people it was the first event of its kind they had ever attended. One person in particular told me she hadn't realized there was a whole community of Democrats in her neighborhood, and she had been feeling very isolated. She now wants to volunteer!
Thanks so much to you and your phone bankers! You're really making an impact. We're planning to have an event like this every month from now until the election, so I'm really hoping you can help us out again in the future! Thanks and best wishes.

I had so much fun!! Today was my first time phone banking, but as I made more phone calls, I gradually became more comfortable. I left tons of messages and was able to have a few conversations, but regardless, I feel as if I made an impact. Would definitely do this again!

I’m only hearing about activities around Charlotte, NC. I hope Dems reach out to as much of the state as possible.
The Mecklenburg phone banks are perfect for beginning phone bankers (and perpetual beginners like me). Very nice people running it, and VPB Connect is easy to use.
