Chop Wood, Carry NC! 12/6
Hi, all!
First of all, thanks to those who came to the North Carolina fundraiser last night. I have to say, it was an absolutely thrilling event! Seriously. Not only did we bust through our 150K goal (WOOT!), but we heard from some truly stellar speakers, including Senator Raphael Warnock, NC Dems chair Anderson Clayton, Mecklenburg Dems chair Drew Kromer, and Congressman Jeff Jackson. Each was more inspiring than the one before, and for once I’m not exaggerating. I haven’t felt this excited about what’s happening in North Carolina since, well, ever. If you were there I suspect you feel the same.
If you missed the event and would like to see a recording of it let me know and I’ll see if I can track one down.
On another note, I have a new way to help win races in NC!
The Environmental Voter Project’s has a new postcarding campaign to mobilize environmental voters in the March 5th North Carolina state primary. These are great campaigns; the social pressure script is super short AND they send you the cards for free! If you haven’t yet written postcards with EVP, please consider joining one of the following orientations (all postcard-writers must attend an orientation) so you can volunteer:
Dec. 14, 8pm ET / 5pm PT Postcarding Orientation
Jan. 3, 12pm ET / 9am PT Postcarding Orientation
This is a great way to help and EVP is an amazing organization. Hope you can make one of the orientations and hop onto this campaign!
Again, thanks to everyone who came to the fundraiser and/or helped us make our goal. I’m incredibly grateful.
More soon!
Jess
